| Well, there are lots of churches, swimming pools and kindergartens in Reykjavik. 70% of all the Icelandic population lives in Reykjavik, corresponding to about 160.000. The economic groth of the city is tremendous, all international companies are represented and the boom of civil construction can't be ignored. | |||||||||||||||

| First we do the typical tourist highlights: the old part of the town, shopping street, harbour, House of Parliament. Then, we go up to the highest point of the city where we find the Pearl, a building serving at the same time as hot water tank and for expositions and concerts. The architecture joining technology and arts is fascinating. Nine silos for hot water store a part of the necessary hot water coming from natural springs and a part of the natural excess pressure is conducted to an artificial geyser which extends to the 4th floor. |

| Staying at the subject of hot water then. In the afternoon, we go to a natural sulphur spring which is now used as a swimming pool inviting perfectly to relax.
Parts of the hot water are transported about 70 km by pipelines for being used there. Then we return to Reykjavik, I take some more pictures, change sone money etc.. | |||||||||||||||
