Saturday

Once, it had to be: yesterday evening we discovered downtown Reykjavik During the day, we already recognized that temperatures above 5°C are considered as the beginning of spring.

We normally wear pullover, jacket, scarf and cap, but today, we met a girl wearing jeans, tennis shoes without socks and nearly nothing on top. In the evening, it's common to see people only with T-Shirts and jeans jacket.

nearly naked at 6°C
We also met a completely stoned film-maker who tried to explain a relation between Joseph Beuys, the Icelandic gods an his own person. I wasn't really able to get his message and so we returned to the hotel about midnight.

In the morning, we went to the swimming pool. That seems to be a bit crazy when the temperature outdoors is 6°C, but it's possible because of the hot springs. There is a kind of natural whirl-pool, various pools with different temperature and a normal pool for swimming. Once again, we were lucky with the weather, so that - protected against the wind - we were even able to sun ourselves.

If you ask the people of Iceland, it's summer and they nearly create a kind of beach ambiance.

In fact, there is only one covered swimming pool in Iceland and it will also be closed soon.<

But I've to admit that I'm really pleased about these springs and pools - such a thermal spring behind the house in Berlin ...

The end of our trip comes closer, tomorrow there is still a kind of jeep-safari, but I don't know, if I will succeed to continue writing.<

Please excuse any mistake, but this project was a kind of adventure and everybody who knows from these things may imagine what can happen.

I'd absolutely like to thank Xnet who hasn't succeeded until now (Saturday, 7 p.m.) to let me know about my e-mails, but who gave me the possibility to use every programme I ever needed.

Thanks also to Carlos from Photo-Jakvaeo-mynd (Sorry, Carlos but I donīt know Icelandic Html-Signs) who never got nervous, even if I rushed in his shop at 5 to 6 p.m., and who conceded me a super price reduction. Thanks also to Frank who realised the page technically in Solingen, Germany, and who dealt supremely well with my confusing information - (and Tanja, who tranlated the whole stuff to english)

There was quite a ot of interest concerning my report, so that I'll maybe continue in France in June. Further information you can get on the server or send me an e-mail - we get in touch with you

That's it.
